 Vitamin B-3 may increase the therapeutic efficacy of more traditional anti-cancer treatment. E. Kjellen and coworkers, for example, gave mice niacinamide, at a rate of 0.2 g per kg of body weight, 30 minutes before they were given radiation.16 One week earlier they had been injected with mammary adenocarcinoma cells. This dose of vitamin B-3 is equivalent to 12 g per day of niacinamide for an average human adult. The vitamin B-3 had no direct effect on tumor volume in these animals; however, it decreased 86% after irradiation in niacinamide-treated mice, and remained 79% lower at 4 weeks. |

Clinical Evidence
Dr Max Gerson treated a series of cancer patients with special diets and with nutrients, including niacin (50 mg, 8 to 10 times per day), dical-cium phosphate, vitamins A and D, and liver injections.14 He found that all of these patients benefited. That is, they became healthier and in many cases their tumors regressed. In a subsequent report, Gerson elaborated on his diet. |

130 paper at The Eighth International Symposium on ADP-Ribosylation, held in Fort Worth, Texas, that discussed "Niacin, nutrition, ADP-ribosylation and cancer."10
